Kim is a country girl from Gibsonville, NC. Growing up on a farm, she grew up learning to appreciate the gifts of the land and beauty in the outdoors. She was also taught to appreciate handcrafted items and items that held stories or ties to the past. It was also important to not be wasteful and reuse as many items as possible.
Kim loves creating and works with many different materials- often ones that are recycled. She is best known for her Papier Mache Santas, which she first started making when she was in high school and were sold at the Alamance Arts Council’s Annual “Christmas at Captain White’s” sale.
One thing’s for sure- you never know what she many create next. Her ADHD has her constanlty changing up her works, offering something for everyone. She’s recently created bird feeders and yard art out of vintage crystal and pendant necklaces out of antique spoons and resin.
