Judi Magier creates exuberant artworks and multi-colored fabrics, using vibrant colors, intricate patterns, shapes, and texture.
She begins each project in the form of a collage. Colored pieces of printed recycled magazine cut-outs are meticulously cut into small pieces and assembled on canvas to create a unique work of art. The completed paper collage is then photographed and digitally altered to create multiple variations and interpretations.
Finally, the piece is transformed into giclee prints and scarves making them accessible to all who have a love for vibrant color and art.
Judi was trained as a fashion and textile designer at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Ryerson University in Toronto, and the Rhode Island School of Design.
