Lyric crafts functional and decorative pyrography works that celebrate the flora and fauna of Southern Appalachia, where she has made her home for nearly a decade. Her work opens a space for conversation about place and our relationship with it. She graduated from UNC Asheville after studying art and ecology, though she perceives the plants to be her greatest teachers in both fields.
All of Lyric’s creations are original designs wood burned by hand – no stencils or laser engravers used! She works with sustainably sourced wood whenever possible and crafts many of the wooden pieces herself from local wood.
